Calendar Printing Assistant for Outlook 2007

If you’re using Microsoft Outlook 2007, you probably love it as much as I do. But as much as I love the calendar being on my computer, I’m still printing an updated calendar to hang on the wall in my office. I guess, for me, it’s easier to just glance up and look at the calendar rather than pulling it up on my computer. Old habits are hard to break.

So, if you’re printing the monthly calendar from Outlook 2007, you may have noticed that the text on the appointments doesn’t wrap around to a second line – it just cuts off the info, sometimes even cutting letters in half. Annoying. What’s even more annoying is that Microsoft is aware of this issue and instead of releasing a simple patch, add-on or update, they created an entire separate program just for printing the calendar.

Microsoft Calendar Printing Assistant for Outlook is currently the only solution out there. I suppose the program does remedy the text-wrap issue, but the program comes with some issues of its own – like every Microsoft program. However, aside from the issues I’ve encountered, this program is definitely the solution for printing your calendar from Outlook 2007.

I hope this is helpful =) If you run into any issues with it, let me know and maybe I can assist you or direct you to some forums to read up on it.

Compare Outlook Calendars

One very useful tip in Outlook 2007, which I credit to Aileen, if you’re viewing multiple calendars, you can integrate all the appointments into one calendar view by clicking the arrow on the tab at the top. It will then show all the appointments from both calendars in one view. This is very helpful if you’re trying to compare multiple calendars, which is a good idea if you don’t want to double-book a conference room, for instance. See the image below.

To separate the calendars again, just click the arrow again.
